The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization, the Voice of the Victims, today announced the beginning of Asbestos Awareness Week. April 1, 2008 was designated as the beginning of National Asbestos Awareness Week by the United State Senate. The U.S. Senate passed S. Res. 462 which states “that the Senate urges the Surgeon General, as a public health issue, to warn and educate people that asbestos exposure may be hazardous to their health.”
