Women's platform: Wang completes diving sweep

Wang Xin rounded off China's perfect score in the diving competition at Doha 2006 by winning gold in the women's 10m platform on Thursday 14 December at the Hamad Aquatic Centre. By winning all gold medals on offer, China have now also completed their ninth successive clean sweep in Asian Games diving competitions.

Handball joy for Kuwait

Kuwait are the new Asian Games men's handball champions after a fierce 27-24 win over Qatar at Al-Gharrafa Indoor Hall on Thursday. The players could hardly hear each other in a cauldron of noise at the start of the game and both teams looked nervous, missing good early opportunities. Abdulaziz Al Zoabi eventually opened the scoring for Kuwait after three minutes.
