China's auto exports shrank 18% in August from that of July to 57,531 vehicles, according to the latest figure released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).

Beijing's auto market suffered a big slump in August when only 45,000 new and second-hand vehicles were sold, down nearly 40% month on month, reported Beijing Morning Post today. Usually the last four months of a year are the peak sales season in the car market, but this year the sluggish market is hard to change for the better.

The top 10 best-sellers of sedan brands in August in China's auto market were Jetta, Accord, Santana, Excelle, Corolla, Camry, F3, Lova, Audi A6 and Focus.
