It's hard to say if Azerbaijan is getting ready to take a historic position, preparing to recognize the independence of Nagorno Karabakh Republic or the opposite, but one thing is clear: after the recently Moscow meeting of the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan some positive signs from various levels are coming from Azerbaijan on compromise talk and peace with Armenia

The leadership of Azerbaijan keeps insisting that it wants the Nagorno Karabakh problem be solved keeping the territorial integrity of the country intact. Now an expert from Turkey says that the territorial dispute in the Caspian Sea with Turkmenistan is a bigger worry for Azerbaijan than Nagorno Karabakh.

The fact that during the weekend horse-racing in Moscow the president of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev was seating next to the presidents of Abkhazia and South Ossetia is a foretelling sign that Mr. Aliyev is preparing to one day sit down with the president of independent Republic of Nagorno Karabakh and sign a peace agreement. The reality is that the government of Azerbaijan should start to prepare its population for peace with Armenia and independence of Nagorno Karabakh.

In a recent G8 meeting in Italy the presidents of USA, France and Russia called for a settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and yesterday the White House released the basic principles according to which the conflict may be settled if the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan agree in an upcoming meeting on July 17 in Moscow.

The time has come for the people and the leadership of Azerbaijan to have a serious reality check in regard to solving the self-determination issue of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic and the conflict with Armenia. As the Minsk group mediators are in the capital Yerevan and heading for Baku preparing the upcoming Moscow meeting between the two presidents it may help to review the two principles that both sides hold as arguments for conflict resolution: people's self-determination and territorial integrity.

A top journalist from Russia says former Soviet Union and Gorbachev bear responsibility for resolving the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, which has been frozen already 15 year between the self-determination rights of Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan's desire to control the region.

Anti-Armenian statements have been ascribed to a Polish politician in Azerbaijan.

The governing model of Azerbaijan does not comply with Western developmental model. Recently the Centre for Geopolitical Studies has posted an article in its website over the external and internal political directions of Azerbaijan.

After the “home analyses” followed St. Petersburg meeting between the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliev has probably understood that the only logic point for resuming the negotiation process over the conflict within “Madrid principles” is the grant of such a status to Nagorno Karabakh that would be accepted both internationally and by Baku first of all and exclude its legal belonging to Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan loses the information war with neighboring Armenia due to inability “to motivate” the fabricated lies, trying even in Wikipedia. The latest book on Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh, published in Ukraine, is the shining example.

Recently a group of activists from Azerbaijan has applied to their compatriots to take up to the “Cooperation call” action. What do our neighbours want this time? Now they do not like that the famous German Radio Station Deutsche Welle has introduced Nagorno Karabakh with its administrative borders within the territory of Azernaijan in the map of the weather forecast column.
