‘Spring Fever: Bringing Dance into the Community’ is the name of the show presented by Sacramento Ballet, which will take place on May 7th, 2009, at 6:30pm.

New York City Ballet principal dancer Nilas Martins has set PUCCINI SONGS, his classical ballet for three couples, to eleven operatic songs by Giacomo Puccini.

Pennsylvania Ballet will perform its second World Premiere and third Company Premiere of the season at the Merriam Theater May 6 – 10. This dynamic program, Tango with Style, offers three contemporary works, each with a compelling stylistic foundation that highlights the extraordinary artistic depth and innovative repertoire of this nationally-recognized ballet company.

This Mother’s Day weekend, Ballet Austin brings to the Long Center a timeless, rags to romance ballet for every generation: Cinderella. This classical masterpiece embodies the traditional story of a forsaken young woman’s rise to redemption and royalty.

Ballet Boyz Michael Nunn and William Trevitt return to Southbank Centre bringing some of their favourite works and guest artists, including the widely acclaimed former Royal Ballet principal, Viviana Durante and long-term collaborator Oxana Panchencko. Performances will take place on Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 November 2008, at 7.45pm.

Following a critcally acclaimed Melbourne season, Interplay is set to open in Sydney on 6 November. Interplay is a groundbreaking triple bill for The Australian Ballet. For almost a year, three hotshot choreographers worked with three giants of Australian composition to create three brand-new works: Nicolo Fonte and Ross Edwards' The Possibility Space, Stephen Baynes and Richard Mills' Night Path, and Matjash Mrozewski and Gerard Brophy's Semele.

Artistic Director David McAllister launched the company’s 2009 season in Melbourne on 16 September. The season features 15 ballets that remain true to the forward-thinking spirit of this great art form.

Trey McIntyre blasts onto the international dance scene with his brand new company, the Trey McIntyre Project together with New Orleans Ballet Association, on November 21 and 22, at 8 p.m.

The Sarasota Ballet opens its second season under the leadership of director Iain Webb in four performances starting Friday, October 24, 2008 at the FSU Performing Arts Center with a program of diverse choreography by Renato Paroni, Antony Tudor and Robert North.

Pennsylvania Ballet kicks off its 45th Anniversary Season October 29 – November 2 at the Academy of Music (Broad and Locust Streets) with Balanchine & Beyond, a repertory program that includes George Balanchine’s Ballo della Regina, and two company premieres: Kazimir’s Colours and Push Comes to Shove.
