Freefall Dance Company Presents Freefall At Flicks

Freefall Dance Company will present Freefall at the Flicks at the Patrick Centre, Birmingham Hippodrome on Friday 1st March 2007. Freefall Dance Company provides opportunities for dancers of school-leaving age with severe learning disabilities. The Company was founded in autumn 2002, evolving from a partnership between Birmingham Royal Ballet and Fox Hollies School, Birmingham.

David Bintley Re-Launches 'Director's Appeal' At Birmingham Ballet

Birmingham Royal Ballet Director, David Bintley CBE, has re-launched the Directors Appeal, established in 2005, in order to raise funds to support the Company's new work. All money raised through the appeal goes towards the creation of new ballets by the Company and has been BRB's most successful fundraising initiative to date. The Directors Appeal supported the recent world premiere of Cyrano at Birmingham Hippodrome.

Joseph Cipolla and Robert Tewsley are to appear as Guest Artists with Birmingham Royal Ballet in David Bintley's production of Cyrano, which premieres at the Birmingham Hippodrome on Wednesday 7th February. Robert Tewsley will also appear in the Company's Stravinsky programme of work.

Birmingham Royal Ballet will open its exciting and varied new season at Birmingham Hippodrome on Wednesday 7 February with a world premiere of Cyrano. This brand new production is choreographed by David Bintley for BRB, has a specially commissioned score by Carl Davis and new sets by Hayden Griffin.
