Amazon is keeping shoppers on their toes with their "Lightening Deals" on their Gold Box Deals page online. Today is "tech deal" day on Amazon.com. Rumors of low priced laptops, discounted TVs and Blue-Ray disc players are spreading around the Internet but you have to act fast. These deals last all of about a minute when they are announced every two hours.

Keep your eye out for great deals on Amazon.com. Never mind Black Friday deals, Amazon is offering amazing Gold Box deals online every few hours. A $30 deal on a Sony DVD player sold out in less than a minute this morning. Rumor has it that a laptop for less than $300 will be coming up today. Lightening deals are posted every two hours.

Black Friday deals are bigger than ever and Best Buy is repeating its successful Black Friday VIP contest for 2009. Best Buy will award $1000 Best Buy gift cards to winners in 25 markets so they can shop on Black Friday with some extra money. This is Best Buy's second year hosting the Best Buy Black Friday VIP contest.

Black Friday deals are already finding their way out on the Internet and those who have a laptop, desktop or netbook on their wish list may be in luck. Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, national shopping frenzy day, is Nov. 28 this year.

Walmart is sure to have many great deals on Black Friday, but there are many online deals available in limited quantities on the Walmart.com site now. Walmart is calling this set of pre-Black Friday deals "Amazing Online Specials" and they won't last long. Wii, Nintendo DSi, Guitar Hero, Toshiba Laptops and more are part of the limited quantity online deals offered on the Walmart website.

Known as the day after Thanksgiving, Black Friday and it's online cousin, Cyber Monday, will officially kick off the 2009 holiday shopping season as retailers slash prices and offer outrageous deals on endless array of products. Unfortunately, Black Friday and Cyber Monday will kick off the cyber crime season as well. At no other time in the year are you more at risk and, as such, the need for ID protection so high.

Current economic difficulties have made many retailers to give an early start to their Black Friday 2009 deals and offer discounts ahead of the competing retailers in the hope of making more sales. In fact Sears was one of them that started its Black Friday 2009 deals last week.

Christmas will be here soon and there are hot items on wish lists this year. Many people have a very tight budget this year, but with the help of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, many of the top electronic Christmas gifts will be less expensive to purchase. Electronics such as iPods, game systems and HD Camcorders top many 2009 Christmas lists.

The ghosts and goblins have yet to go trick-or-treating, but it's Christmas season already at Sears, where Black Friday 2009 will fall on October 30.

Cyber Monday follows Black Friday as shoppers kick off the holiday shopping season. Typically Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, has been the biggest shopping day of the year. However, Cyber Monday, (which will fall on November 30 this year) appeals to online shoppers who seek out great deals without leaving their home.

U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) announced it was citing Wal-Mart for inadequate crowd management following the Nov. 28, 2008 (Black Friday), death of Jdimytai Damour.

You might remember the case of Jdimytai Damour, 34, a temporary worker, who was shoved to the ground as he opened the doors to a Wal-Mart in Valley Stream, NY and trampled to death on "Black Friday," last year. The family eventually sued, but on Wednesday Wal-Mart and prosecutors inked a deal that requires the retailer to pay nearly $2 million and improve safety at its 92 New York stores, in exchange for avoiding criminal charges.
