Merga, Kosgei Win 2009 Boston Marathon

Kenya’s Salina Kosgei won the closest women’s race in the 113-year history of the Boston Marathon, while Ethiopia’s Deriba Merga won the men's portion of the Boston Marathon on Monday. Americans took third in both races.

Take The T To The Boston Marathon

In preparation for this year's Boston Marathon, the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority will enhance service to accommodate the thousands of fans expected to attend the event. Extra T officials and T Police will be on hand to provide assistance throughout the day. The following schedule and services will be in effect Marathon Monday, which include adjustments to North Shore bus routes to accommodate the Paul Revere re-enactment ride.
