My heart goes out to the family of John Travolta for the loss of his son Jett Travolta. Reuters and other news outlets are reporting that actor John Travolata's 16-year-old son, Jett, has died, reportedly from a seizure, while on vacation the family in the Bahamas. Jett apparently had a history of seizures. Our prayers to up for this family at this terribly sad time in their lives.

Researchers at the University of Iowa and the Veterans Affairs Iowa City Health Care System have uncovered a brain pathway that shuts down seizures.
