Mtel (formally known as Mobiltel EAD), the leading wireless operator in Bulgaria, has selected and implemented Andrew Corporation's Odysseyâ„¢ cellular radio planning software system to replace a market-leading radio planning tool.

The Bulgarian press today called for a boycott of Libya, a day after a Libyan court sentenced five Bulgarian nurses and a Palestinian doctor to death.

The European Council meeting of 14-15 December will welcome the accession of Bulgaria and Romania to the EU. To celebrate this important occasion, the Commission is organising a major event in the centre of Brussels hosted by President José Manuel Barroso and Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn, and open to all. Representatives of Bulgaria and Romania as well as of the Member States will be present. The colourful event is open to the public.

The subject of today's discussion - "Health economics: Driven by health consumer needs or by health administration" - is of critical importance especially in a situation where Bulgaria will be a full member of the European Union as of the January 1, 2006. Bulgaria will be taking its rightful place within the European Union, and should be proud about that.
