Audi FIS Ski World Cup starts at Sölden

The 2007/2008 skiing season has been opened: with an international press conference at Sölden (Austria) Audi yesterday gave the starting signal for the first race weekend of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup to which AUDI AG has been giving its name for as many as five years now.

Corvette Z06 chosen by WTCC team drivers

Alain Menu, Nicola Larini and Robert Huff, the Chevrolet WTCC team racing drivers, have each purchased a Corvette Z06 for their personal use. At the weekends they win races in their light blue Chevrolet Lacetti race car in FIA’s World Touring Car Championship and during the week drive around in their yellow Corvette Z06.

Nissan Z takes 4th place finish

Autopolis Racing Course (4.674km/lap), located in Hita city, Oita prefecture was the scene of Round 8 of SUPER GT. The MOTUL AUTECH Z (#22), with drivers Michael Krumm and Tsugio Matsuda, started the race in 7th, finishing in 4th place. With the opportunity to win the team title in the Championship, the team swore to do their best at the final round at Fuji Speedway in November.

Alain Menu Scores Chevrolet's Fifth 2007 Win

Alain Menu scored Chevrolet’s sixth win of the 2007 World Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch, thus becoming the most successful driver in this year’s championship. Menu led from lights to finish, controlling the rest of the field which was never more than half a second behind. In the second race, however, Menu was disqualified for a safety car procedure infringement.

O'Reilly Auto Parts extends title rights sponsorship of NHRA Fall Nationals

NHRA has announced that O'Reilly Auto Parts has agreed to a multi-year extension to be the title rights sponsor of the O'Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Fall Nationals at Texas Motorplex through 2010. O'Reilly Auto Parts is the only title rights sponsor the event has had this decade, stretching back to 1999, the first year of the sponsorship.
