Laguna II was the first vehicle to ever achieve a five-star rating in the passive safety assessment tests carried out by the independent body, Euro NCAP. It was a result that took the car into a new era.

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced that it will test its "slip-hazard warning system" in Hokkaido, Northern Japan, to help mitigate accidents on slippery roads experienced in cold weather conditions.

Nissan today opened its new “Grandrive” vehicle proving ground, located in Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Grandrive has been designed to support vehicle evaluation and testing for engineering development and to showcase the driving dynamics of Nissan products to employees, dealers and other stakeholders.

The Mazda CX-9 and CX-7 sport utility vehicles (SUV) recently received the highest possible ratings in frontal and side impact crashes by the governments’ National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). In addition to receiving a five-star frontal and side impact crash-test rating, both the CX-9 and CX-7 received four-star rollover resistance ratings.
