Congolese Mourn Politically-Charged Cardinal

Citizens in the Democratic Republic of Congo are mourning the death of Cardinal Frédéric Etsou-Nzabi-Bamungwabi, the country's top Roman Catholic prelate. Cardinal Etsou died on January 6 of pneumonia in Belgium. As his body was returned for a scheduled burial in the Congo on Monday, mourners remembered him as a religious and political leader. Catholic Social Services Receives Grant From BB&T

The Refugee Employment Services Office of Catholic Social Services has received a grant from the BB&T Charitable Foundation in the amount of $26,232. The grant will be used to hire additional staff to reach out to local employers who are willing to hire refugees.
