A car bomb exploded in the Iraqi city of Al-Ramadi today, killing at least 25 people and spraying the area with chlorine. It was the latest insurgent attack using the deadly chemical. More than 30 people were reported injured.

The U.S. military says roadside bombs have killed five more American soldiers in Iraq Sunday, including four in the volatile province of Diyala north of Baghdad. Two other U.S. soldiers were wounded in the Diyala attack.

Gunmen attacked a Sunni mosque in the town of Haswah, south of Baghdad today, setting it ablaze a day after a suicide truck bomber struck near a Shi'ite mosque in the same area.
