Chorus pro Musica, led by Music Director Jeffrey Rink, presents the St. John Passion of Johann Sebastian Bach on Friday, March 23, 2007 at 8 pm at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, 138 Tremont Street, Boston (opposite the Park St MBTA station). Presented during Lent, two weeks before Good Friday, the concert will include an orchestra of authentic period instruments.

The Gay Men's Chorus of San Diego proudly commemorates 15 years of singing out with the inaugural concert of its 15th Anniversary Season, "Watch Me Fly!" to be presented in Hillcrest on both Saturday and Sunday, April 14 and 15, 2007.

As Heartland Men's Chorus enters its 21st year, these same hallmarks are evident. The Chorus has announced an ambitious and varied season, and increased its performance schedule.

Diversionary Theatre and the Gay Men's Chorus of San Diego have teamed up a second year for a spectacular gala cabaret that will benefit both organizations. "Trolley Follies of 2007" will be held at Diversionary on Saturday, March 3, and will feature the music of Kander & Ebb, one of Broadway's most beloved musical theatre teams, and the cast of the national tour of Altar Boyz will make a special appearance courtesy of Broadway San Diego.

Metropolitan Opera mezzo-soprano Barbara Dever joins the Monmouth Civic Chorus and orchestra for Let Freedom Sing, featuring three major choral works on the theme of freedom. The highlight is the world premiere of Stronger Than Darkness by the Cuban-American composer Jorge Martín, celebrating the heart-pounding courage of the Mariel boatlift. The music comes from Martin's new opera, Before Night Falls, based on the thrilling memoir by the late Cuban dissident Reinaldo Arenas.

The Cincinnati Men's Chorus presents its spring concert, Women We Love, featuring guest star Suede, on March 10 and 11 at the Gallagher Student Center Theater on the campus of Xavier University in Evanston.

Why would a chorus like One Voice program a concert of sacred music, when many in our community have been excluded from, and wounded by, faith communities? In spite of this history we, GLBT people and allies, are a spiritual people. Our January concerts, Reclaiming Faith: In the Spirit of Justice, utilize music and story telling to confront religious discrimination and homophobia, and to celebrate faith communities where the welcome of queer individuals is active and vibrant.

Three Masterworks for Chorus and Organ The Madison Symphony Chorus joins forces with the Overture Concert Organ, played by MSO Principal Organist and Curator Samuel Hutchison, in a program of vocal and organ masterworks. Members of the Madison Symphony Orchestra (MSO) will accompany on violin, cello and bass.
