National Geographic Real Pirates Exhibition At Cincinnati Museum

Real Pirates: The Untold Story of the Whydah from Slave Ship to Pirate Ship, a new exhibit organized by National Geographic and Arts and Exhibitions International (AEI) LLC, in cooperation with Cincinnati Museum Center, will tell the compelling story of a real pirate ship, the Whydah, which started out as a slave ship, and the stories of the diverse people whose lives converged on the vessel.

Evaluating Education In America At Cincinnati Museum Center

Between 1938 and 1965, three Cincinnati area high schools exemplified educational excellence during a time of racial conflict. The faculty, staff and students of DePorres, Lincoln-Grant and Lockland Wayne High Schools-three Black segregated schools-were committed to exceeding societal expectations. Excelling both academically and athletically, alumni from the three schools became role models: students who matured into leaders for the Black community.
