The Cleveland Museum of Art (CMA) presents Arms and Armor from Imperial Austria on view February 24, 2008 – June 1, 2008 at CMA. This exhibition is the museum's first to deal with the subject of arms and armor during the Renaissance and provides a rare opportunity to experience fine armor and weapons from one of Europe's most important collections.

The Cleveland Museum of Art's acclaimed VIVA! & Gala Around Town announces the first performance in its special Music of Central Asia and the Near East mini-series, with The Spiritual Sounds of Central Asia: Nomads, Mystics and Troubadours at 7:30 p.m. on October 21 at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History.

The Cleveland Museum of Art announced its most recent acquisitions, among them significant works by artist René Lalique and Larry Fink and from the Wari empire of ancient Peru, and the Kingdom of Bandjoun, in Cameroon, Africa.

Opera Cleveland closes its debut season with Giacomo Puccini's powerhouse Tosca on Oct. 19, with additional performances on Oct. 21 and 27. Performed at the State Theatre in Playhouse Square, the production features soprano Brenda Harris as Floria Tosca, Gordon Hawkins as Baron Scarpia and Alfredo Portilla as Mario Cavaradossi. Maestro Richard Buckley and Director Garnett Bruce lead the cast. The same team brought Cleveland Opera's Turandot much success in 2006.
