Saab has made a business out of producing fun-to-drive vehicles combining its Scandinavian design principles of form and function with responsible performance. Saab is translating those values to clothing, launching the Pure BioPower Eco Clothing Collection in partnership with the Swedish clothing design firm Reflective Circle designer Josefin Lassbo. The fashions were revealed at an exclusive pre-New York Auto Show party where the Saab 9-X BioHybrid concept car made its North American debut.

The world's largest retailer Wal-Mart Stores Inc. will move design and development of its apparel to New York in a bid to revive declining clothing sales and cut production time.

U.S. Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte is in Colombia on a Latin American tour focusing on trade, energy, and regional cooperation. On Monday, Negroponte visited a project near the capital, Bogota, where former combatants in Colombia's four-decade-old civil war are trained for employment in the clothing industry.
