The Michigan vs Michigan State football game was a thriller for the fans. MSU ended up the winner in overtime 26-20.

Stafon Johnson, USC Trojans running back, was transported to the hospital where is undergoing surgery after sustaining an injury in a weight room accident at the school. Johnson was lifting weights this morning when he apparently lost control of the bar and it landed on his neck.

West Virginia Mountaineers beat North Carolina. Pat White finished his career just as he started – standing atop the winners podium hoisting another bowl MVP trophy over his head. White passed for 332 yards and three touchdowns to lead West Virginia to a 31-30, come-from-behind victory over North Carolina in the 2008 Meineke Car Care Bowl at Bank America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C.

West Virginia will face North Carolina in a battle of two 8-4 teams on Saturday, Dec. 27, at Bank America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C., in the 2008 Meineke Car Care Bowl.

Carolina (8-4, 4-4) will travel to Charlotte to take on West Virginia (8-4, 5-2) in the Meineke Car Care Bowl. Carolina will be playing in its first bowl game since 2004 (also in Charlotte in the Continental Tire Bowl) and will seek its first bowl win since 2001.
