Football coach Lloyd Carr announces retirement at a press conference

University of Michigan football head coach Lloyd Carr at a press conference announced today (Monday, Nov. 19) his retirement from coaching after 28 seasons with the Wolverine program. Carr is second to only Bennie Oosterbaan (31 years; 20 years as an assistant and 11 years as head coach) in years of service with the nation's winningest college football program.
