Balloon Boy is a nickname that became famous in October, as the nickname given to Falcon Heene who was reported to have flown away in a homemade balloon as part of a hoax executed by his parents last month. Today, the parent's lawyer reported the parents will plead guilty to various charges.

Yesterday's media coverage of a gigantic helium balloon and missing boy now seems rather comedic and somewhat disturbing. It's being called a hoax by many. There is widespread speculation that 6 year old Falcon Heene's (now dubbed 'balloon boy') family set up the whole balloon incident for media attention when the world watched the homemade balloon make its two-hour, 50-mile journey through two counties in Colorado.

Shortly after 6pm EDT, Falcon Heene was found alive hiding in a box in his family's home. Falcon captured the world's attention today when it was assumed he was inside family’s experimental balloon as it miraculously lifted into the air. Rumors spread throughout the news and on the Internet today that the boy may have fallen out of the balloon because the door to the hot air contraption wasn't locked.
