UConn Football Player Jasper Howard Suspected Killer Charged

An arrest in the stabbing of UConn football player Jasper Howard was made Tuesday morning. John William Lomax was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with stabbing 20-year-old Jasper Howard according to his attorney, Deron Freeman. Lomax was initially to be charged in connection with the fight that led to Jasper Howard’s death, but not with murder. However, the state police have enough evidence and have charged Lomax with the killing.

UConn Campus Stabbing Fatal For Jasper Howard

Just hours after celebrating a victory over Louisville on Saturday, the University of Connecticut is now dealing with fatal UConn campus stabbing. Shortly after midnight, football player Jasper Howard was stabbed to death on campus.

Hartford Marathon 2009 Winners Cross Finish Line

The 16th annual ING Hartford Marathon 2009 is underway in Bushnell Park. Runners are already starting to cross the finish line, including winner Patrick Moulton of Rhode Island. Moulton, who won $6,000, finished in 2 hours, 25 minutes, 21 seconds in the 26.2 mile Hartford Marathon today.

Annie Le Search Centers on Conn. Incinerator, Landfill

The missing person's case of twenty-four-year-old Annie Le, who was last seen Tuesday morning at a Yale University laboratory in New Haven, Conn., has reportedly moved to searching the trash at a Connecticut incinerator. Le was scheduled to marry Columbia University graduate student Jonathan Widawsky today in New York City.

Yale Student Annie Le Case Still Missing

Yale University student Annie Le, last seen Tuesday, is still missing and the case is wide open. This afternoon, investigators found bloody clothing in the building where Lee was last seen but a body has not been found. The bloody clothes were found stuffed in the ceiling of the building where Le was last seen at 10 Amistad Street in New Haven, police confirmed.

Connecticut nurse Betty Lichtenstein (yes, her name is actually "Betty") was arrested at a doctor's office and charged with impersonating a medical practitioner and reckless endangerment.

Fighting Nursing Home Abuse CT Enhances Rights

Recently nursing home abuse and the incidents of nursing home malpractice have promted the state governments to take serous actions to protect the rights of the elderly people residing in nursing homes. Today Connecticut Governor Rell signed a bill enhancing rights of Nursing Home residents. The law prohibits homes from requiring donations and gifts from Medicaid patients as a basis for admission or extended stay.

Machine Gun Ban for Kids Passed by Connecticut Senate
