The Hartford Symphony Orchestra and the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art have joined artistic forces to present the new chamber music series, "Sunday Serenades," on May 6, 2007, June 3, 2007, September 16, 2007 and November 18, 2007 at 2 pm in the Atheneum's glorious Morgan Great Hall in Hartford.

CONCORA and the Hartford Symphony Orchestra will be performing together at their annual collaborative program featuring the music of Johann Sebastian Bach on Sunday, March 18 at 4:00 pm at Immanuel Congregational Church, located on Farmington Avenue at Woodland Street in Hartford.

New York Philharmonic Principal trombonist Joseph Alessi will be featured at the Hartford Symphony Orchestra's Classical Connections concerts on Thursday, March 15 and Friday, March 16 at 7:30 pm at The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts' Belding Theater in Hartford. The program, conducted by HSO Music Director Edward Cumming, will feature the world-premiere of Connecticut composer Stephen Michael Gryc's "Passaggi: Concerto for Trombone and Orchestra."

World-class virtuoso Julie Albers will appear with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra for a romantic Valentine's Day concert on Tuesday, February 13 at 7:30 pm and Wednesday, February 14 at 7:30 pm at The Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts in Hartford.

The Hartford Symphony Orchestra will present The Music of The Eagles: A Rock Symphony featuring vocalist Randy Jackson and guest conductor Brent Havens for the second event of the HSO's new "Lincoln Financial Group Foundation Symphony at the Center" series on Saturday, February 17 at 8 pm in the Grand Ballroom of the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford.

The Hartford Symphony Orchestra presents "Musical Dialogues #9", hosted by HSO Music Director Edward Cumming, on Sunday, February 4, 2007 at 3:00 pm at Asylum Hill Congregational Church, 814 Asylum Avenue, Hartford. For this free program of music and conversation, Maestro Cumming will be joined by the distinguished young musicians of Imani Winds, the 2006 Grammy-nominated woodwind quintet that continues to push exciting musical boundaries.

The program, conducted by HSO Music Director Edward Cumming, will feature two works by the German romantic composer Johannes Brahms: Variations on a Theme by Haydn and his Violin Concerto, performed by Sigal.
