Asian champion Li Yan of China won the women's points race - the first of three finals contested on the last day of track cycling at ASPIRE Hall 1 at Sports City.

Three finals round off the Doha 2006 track cycling competition on Thursday 14 December: the men's keirin, women's points race and men's Madison final.

China's Guo Shuang has made it a double Doha 2006 gold after winning the women's sprint final.

Asian champion Tsubasa Kitatsuru of China came from behind to power into the men's track cycling sprint final by beating Malaysia's Josiah Ng Onn Lam in the semifinals.
