Chi Cao To Feature In Film Adaptation Of Bestseller

Birmingham Royal Ballet Principal Dancer, Chi Cao, is to appear in a film adaptation of Li Cunxin's bestselling autobiography, Mao's Last Dancer. Chi, who has been cast as the adult Li, will appear alongside dancers from The Australian Ballet and Hong Kong Ballet in the film, which is to be directed by the internationally acclaimed Bruce Beresford.

Boston Ballet Tours To Spoleto Festival

Australian Ballet Announces 30th International Tour

2008 is a big year for The Australian Ballet. In addition to 162 performances across the country, The Australian Ballet will tour four works to Paris, London and Manchester in September and October, marking the company's 30th international tour in its 46 year history. Ballet San Jose Announces Goodwill Tour

Ballet San Jose announced a five-week, eight-city tour to China scheduled for May and June, 2008. The company, under the direction of Artistic/Executive Director Dennis Nahat, will depart San Jose on May 17th (returning on June 24th) on a private 747 loaned to the ballet by Fry's Electronics.

DC area children explore dance at American Dance Institute’s Angelina Ballerina Open House

Enthusiastic young dancers are invited to a free day of dance, crafts and performances with Angelina Ballerina, the famous mouse heroine from the storybooks, at American Dance Institute on Sunday, April 27th. In honor of National Dance Week, the non-profit educational institute is hosting an Angelina Ballerina Open House from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. for children of all ages. Children will have the unique opportunity to meet and dance with the young ballet mouse, who is also the spokescharacter for National Dance Week.
