On Friday, November 9 and Saturday, November 10, the Schuster Center will be the scene of festivities celebrating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra founder and Conductor Emeritus Paul Katz (November 2, 1907- August 31, 1989).

Reawakening the lovable spirit of George Burns, Victoria Theatre Association's JPMorgan Chase Broadway Series takes audiences on a trip down memory lane with Say Goodnight Gracie, October 30 – November 11, at the Victoria Theatre.

On Friday and Saturday evenings, October 19 and 20 at 8 pm in the Schuster Center, Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra and Music Director Neal Gittleman will present Mancini Magic, featuring the breathtaking voice of Monica Mancini, daughter of the late Academy-Award-winning film composer, Henry Mancini.

In celebration, the concerts will feature the works of Bizet, Rachmaninoff, and Beethoven, specifically the symphony that was Paul Katz's personal favorite – Beethoven's Symphony No.3, Eroica.

On Friday evening, October 12 at 8 pm in the Schuster Center, Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra Music Director Neal Gittleman will provide an insightful glimpse into the classical compositions of American composer Leonard Bernstein.

On Thursday, October 11 and Saturday, October 13 at 8 pm in the Schuster Center, Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra Music Director Neal Gittleman and guest violinist Philippe Quint will present uniquely American music in Mosaic Nation, the third of six concert programs the DPO will present in September and October.

On Wednesday evening, October 3 at 6:30 pm and again on Thursday morning, October 4 at 10:00 am, Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra Music Director Neal Gittleman will lead the DPO Chamber Orchestra in Modern and More, a concert of chamber works by American composers.

Break out the old zoot suits and saddle shoes, daddy-o, the Big Band era is back and in full swing, when the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra jumps and jives at the Victoria Theatre, October 12. The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra began turning out the best all-around dance music in the 1940s and, after an extended hiatus, is selling out all over the country once again.

The 2007-2008 JPMorgan Chase Broadway Series opens with the scamming, scheming, double-crossing hit Broadway musical, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, when it cons its way into the Schuster Center, September 25 – 30.

This season, when Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra Music Director Neal Gittleman plays the Star Spangled Banner to open the season's first concert as is tradition, it will have very special significance.

Multi-platinum recording artist Jo Dee Messina proves the Schuster Center is a little bit country when she performs there on September 21. Jo Dee Messina has nine number one singles, has been honored by The Country Music Association, The Academy of Country Music and The Grammy Awards, and was the first female country artist to score three successive multiple-week number-one singles from the same album.
