On Sunday, March 18 at 3:00 pm and 5:20 pm, to kick-off the Chase SuperPops Heroes and Villains concert celebration, the Neon Movies will present special showings of the film Raiders of the Lost Ark.

The music of film composer John Williams will be the focus of a two-week-long Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra celebration that starts Sunday, March 18 and includes:

On Tuesday, March 27, at 9:30 am and 11:00 am at the Schuster Center, Music Director Neal Gittleman and the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra will present the DPO's ninth annual High School Concert, Music and Poetry. This concert is specifically designed for teenage audiences (Grades 7-12) and is planned to link to Language Arts and Social Studies curriculum.

On Friday, March 16 at 10 am and 6:30 pm, Demirjian Chamber Orchestra Assistant Conductor Patrick Reynolds will conduct a program that not only puts the Demirjian Chamber Orchestra's Brass and Percussion Sections in the spotlight, but also gives their musical ability a stringent test.

As part of the 2006/2007 Stars of Tomorrow program, at 7 pm on Saturday, March 24 and Friday, March 30, the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra will showcase two high school music ensembles.

On Friday, March 23 and Saturday, March 24 at 8 pm in the Schuster Center, Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra Guest Conductor Carlos Miguel Prieto and guest violinist Nicola Benedetti will present a program of especially diverse works.

On Sunday, March 4 at 2 pm, as part of the National City-sponsored outreach concerts the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra Principal String Quartet will perform a free, all-Italian concert in the Zorniger Education Center at the Cox Arboretum and Gardens Metro Park.

The Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra and Associate Conductor Patrick Reynolds hit area highways the first part of March, to bring the joy, excitement, and fun of music to area school-age kids. Known as Magic Carpet Concerts, the DPO might also call these five scheduled musical events Getting Down with the Phil, for getting down and performing orchestral music in a casual and fun manner is the essence of each program.

The Victoria Theatre will become the home of a colorful dream in an enchanted forest when Cirque Dreams: Jungle Fantasy draws Dayton audiences into a trance of the imagination as part of Victoria Theatre Association's Fifth Third Bank Broadway Series, February 20 - March 4.
