In celebration of Black History Month, the third annual Visual Voices art exhibit will return to the Benjamin and Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center in February. This year's exhibit is titled "Dayton Skyscrapers: An African-American Visual Artists' Tribute to African American Heroes of Dayton, Ohio" and will feature works by 13 local African-American artists.

On Tuesday, February 13, Music Director Neal Gittleman and the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra will present the DPO's 70th annual Young People's Concert, Kaleidoscope Around the World. The DPO specifically designed this concert for school-age audiences and planned it to link to Social Studies and Language Arts curriculum.

On Sunday, February 18 at 3 pm in the Schuster Center, Patrick Reynolds - Assistant Conductor of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor of the Dayton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra - will lead the DPYO in a musical tour of the world of cartoon and movie music.

Yellow Springs native, cellist Karen Patterson returns to her family, community, social, and musical roots Saturday, February 17, 2007 at 8 pm in the Schuster Center, when - at the head of her own jazz ensemble - she joins Music Director Neal Gittleman and the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra for an evening of classical, jazz, dance, gospel, and uniquely African-American music.

26 Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra members and Music Director Neal Gittleman travel to Omega Baptist Church on Sunday, February 4 for a 5 pm concert with the Omega Baptist Church Choir.

The newly conceived North American tour of Elton John & Tim Rice's AIDA, the award-winning timeless love story, will make its Dayton premiere when it arrives at the Benjamin and Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center, January 30 - February 4.

On Monday, January 22 at 7 pm at Trotwood High School, the Carillon Brass will perform as part of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra's free community performance series. All five members of the Carillon Brass are members of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra.
