ISE Announces Three New Board Members

ISE International Securities Exchange: NEW YORK – The International Securities Exchange (ISE) today announced that three new members have been elected to its Board of Directors. Thomas Eichelmann, Chief Financial Officer of Deutsche Börse Group, will join the ISE Board as a non-industry director. Matthew Andresen and Timothy Brennan will join the Board as representatives of ISE’s Primary Market Makers (PMMs) and Competitive Market Makers (CMMs), respectively.

Eurex Launches New Futures On Dow Jones EURO STOXX Dividends

The international derivatives exchange Eurex will be launching a new futures product based on the dividends of the Dow Jones EURO STOXX 50 as of 30 June 2008. The introduction of new index dividend futures represent the first time that the pure dividend component of a major equity index has been available for trading and clearing on a stand alone basis at any exchange.

Fuchs Petrolub Replaces Arques In MDAX

Deutsche Börse has decided on changes in its equity indices, MDAX and SDAX that will take effect on 23 June. The preferred share of Fuchs Petrolub will be included in MDAX and will replace Arques. The exclusion was triggered by the so-called fast-exit rule, because the company is ranked 78th in terms of market capitalization.

Eurex Clearing Enhances OTC Service Offering

Eurex Clearing, Europe's leading clearing house, announced today major enhancements of its over-the-counter (OTC) clearing offering. As of 1 July 2008, Eurex Clearing will introduce a Multilateral Trade Registration (MTR) facility and a new deal-based pricing structure for equity options.

Xetra Trades Up By More Than 6%

In May 2008, the number of trades executed on Xetra reached 14.4 million transactions – up more than 6 percent compared to May 2007 with 13.5 million trades. Order book turnover on Xetra recorded €144.8 billion (May 2007: €198.5 billion).

Eurex: Trading Volumes Up By 24.5%

The international derivatives exchange Eurex reported today that in May 2008 trading volumes reached 194.6 million contracts (May 2007: 156.3 million), an increase of 24.5 percent year-on-year. Average daily trading volume at Eurex was 9.3 million contracts (May 2007: 7.1 million). Total trading volumes on Eurex in the first five months reached 948.4 million contracts, up more than 22 percent year-on-year. Open interest increased to almost 148 million contracts.

Eurex Halves Latency Of Trading System With New Interface

With the successful roll-out of its optional interface "Enhanced Transaction Solution" (ETS) on 14 April 2008, Eurex has achieved another key milestone on the Eurex Technology Roadmap launched at the end of 2006. Since the interface was launched, average roundtrip times of future orders for users of this access option have been reduced to five milliseconds, halving the times previously achieved via the traditional MISS interface.

Deutsche Börse Expands Asian Business
