Deutsche Börse has further expanded its XTF segment for exchange-traded index funds on the pan-European Xetra trading platform. A further exchange-traded fund issued by Lyxor Asset Management, a subsidiary of Société Générale, has been tradable in XTF since Wednesday.

Eurex Will Start With Three Credit Index Futures

Clearstream Shows Strong Growth Levels In February 2007

Clearstream processed 2.38 million international transactions in February 2007, a 4% rise over February 2006 (2.28 million). Of these transactions, 74 percent were Over the Counter transactions and 26 percent were registered as stock exchange transactions. Domestic settlement transactions in Germany stood at 3.41 million compared to 3.43 million for the same month last year. Of these transactions 66 percent were stock exchange transactions and 34 percent OTC transactions.

Eurex To Use Bloomberg Calculation Model

Eurex, the international derivatives exchange, today announced that it will use a new Bloomberg model to calculate the final settlement prices of its new credit index future, which will be launched on 27 March. These prices will be displayed and can be analyzed on the BLOOMBERG PROFESSIONAL® service. The support of this new product category by industry leaders Eurex and Bloomberg will open new opportunities in a growing asset class.

Trading Volume On Eurex Increased By 26 % To 135 Million Contracts

The international derivatives exchange Eurex traded 135.7 million contracts in February, an increase of over 26 percent as against February 2006 (108 million contracts). On 28 February, Eurex reached a new daily turnover record with 12.8 million contracts (previous record from 13 June 2006 stood at 12.2 million). The average daily turnover in February was 6.7 million contracts.

64 % Rise In Turnover On Xetra

In February €206.1 billion were turned over on Xetra and on the floor of Börse Frankfurt - a rise of 58 percent year-on-year (February 2006: €129.9 billion). Thereof €190.7 billion were traded on Xetra gaining 64 percent year-on-year (February 2006: €116.6 billion) and €15.5 billion on the floor. A plus of 16 percent compared to February last year (February 2006: €13.3 billion).

Unscheduled Adjustments In TecDAX Effective On March 5

Due to the merger of the two TecDAX® companies Mobilcom AG and freenet.de AG into Telunico Holding AG (future Freenet AG), an unscheduled adjustment will be made to the TecDAX index, effective on March 5. Telunico Holding AG (future Freenet AG) will be included in TecDAX as of Monday, replacing Mobilcom AG.
