The whole world is Irish on St. Patrick’s Day! And Dublin is the stage for the biggest and best St. Patrick’s celebrations in the world, the St. Patrick’s Festival. From March 12th – 17th thousands of Irish people and visitors alike will paint the town green for five fantastic, fun-filled days.

As the world is celebrating St. Patrick's day the Irish Radio from Dublin is reporting that close to half a million people gather in Dublin for the St. Patrick's Parade.

An exhibition of twenty nine specially commissioned prints created by members of Graphic Studio Dublin and invited artists will open in the National Gallery of Ireland from until Sunday 28 September 2008. Admission is free.

The National Gallery of Ireland has placed on view its recent acquisition, 'Young Woman in White Reading' by French nineteenth-century master, Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841-1919). The painting, which is the first Renoir to enter the collection, was purchased at auction, at Sotheby's Sale of Impressionist & Modern Art in New York (November 2007).

National Gallery of Ireland presents an exhibition, Catching a Likeness, featuring over 50 portraits on paper from the fifteenth to the twentieth centuries. It will show how portraits have varied in accordance with prevailing artistic fashions, favoured styles, techniques and media.

Dublin Theatre Festival presents a comic romance by Christian O’Reilly, directed by Lynne Parker as part of the Ulster Bank Dublin Theatre Festival 2007. Opening will take place on 1st October 2007 - 8pm, at The Pavilion Theatre, Dún Laoghaire.
