The two original founders of Skype, a peer-to-peer calling service, want $75 million a day in damages from eBay. Earlier this month most of Skype was sold to new investors but Skype founders Janus Friis and Niklas Zennstrom have filed a lawsuit against eBay and the new investors. Friis and Zennstrom, Skype founders,decided to sue eBay for copyright violation and the disruption of a $1.9 billion deal.

Earlies this morning we wrote that eBay may announce a Skype sale deal as early as today. Well, the news came this morning that eBay announced the deal.

eBay, which had acquired Skype relatively recently, finds it necessary to sell it, and probably best for both eBay and Skype. The sale, according to NY Times and Bloomberg, may happen as early as today.
