British Minister for Care Services, Phil Hope MP has written personally to the autism charity, the UK Autism Foundation, expressing his wish to do more for parents, carers and people with autism in the United Kingdom. (London, UK) A 16 year old British teenager,James Wilson who has autism, has been found by police having walked from Epping via Chelmsford to Colchester in Essex, after a massive hospital blunder. Mrs Lash Wilson, mother of James has called on the Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Secretary of State for Health Alan Johnson to launch an inquiry as how a vulnerable teenager with autism was allowed out of Goodmayes Hospital in Essex to go to the cornershop unsupervised.

(London, UK) 'Open Every Door,' the song for autism has been re-released in London by Media Eye Music in time for Autism Sunday on 10th February 2008. 'Open Every Door' was composed by the Sri Lanka born singer/songwriter who dedicated the song to the Autism Awareness Campaign UK. It is sung by Birmingham based musician Rozagy who was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome a few years ago.
