After Armenia received its best result ever this year with Sirusho, the world-famous rock band System of a Down shown a keen interest in representing the country in Russia next year.

The winner of Eurovision 2008 song festival with the majority of votes became Dima Belan from Russia. Dima's Eurovision winning was much deserved.

The Final of the Eurovision 2008 Song Contest will take place at Belgrade Arena tonight. As the European public and music lovers are awaiting for the Eurovision 2008 winner and who will host the Eurovision 2009, the favorites are Sirusho of Armenia with Qele, Qele, Dima Belan of Russia and Diana Gurtskaya of Georgia.

Three days are left before the first Semi Final of the Eurovision 2008 Song Contest in Belgrade, Serbia. On May 20 Sirusho will perform 14th among 19 participants. Head of Foreign Relations Department of the Public TV Diana Mnatsakanyan informed that Sirusho will appear on the stage in an expensive dress from Igor Chapurin. The dress Sirusho wears during the rehearsals was authored by Arevik Simonyan.

Eurovision 2008 rehersals are continuing in Belgrade ahead of next week's Eurovision 2008 song contest and the first three participants to rehearse today at the Belgrade Arena were Sirusho of Armenia, the Hind from the Netherlands and the Finnish rockers of Teräsbetoni.

The representative of Armenia in the Eurovision 2008 international song competition Sirusho is highly evaluated and named in the best top five by the internet users.

Armenia occupied the second position at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2007 held in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

"AREVIK" is going to represent Armenia at Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2007 for the first time ever on December 8th, 2007 in Rotterdam (Netherlands).

At the 50th meeting of the TV Committee of the European Broadcasting Union it was decided to approve the proposal of hosting two Semi-Finals for the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest.

Marija Serifovic was given a hero's welcome Sunday by around 30,000 fans when she returned to Serbia after winning the 2007 Eurovision Song Contest in Finland.

Europe voted in Eurovision 2007 festival and gave the winning vote to Serbia. Serbian singer Marija Serifovic performed the song "Prayer" which became favorite of the European voters. Top 5 of Eurovision 2007 are shared between Serbia, Ukraine, Russia, Turkey and Bulgaria.

Eurovision Final kicks off in Helsinki today. Singers from 24 countries will compete for victory in the contest. Bookmakers see Ukraine's Verka Serduchka as a likely winner of Eurovision 2007.
