The peerless English Touring Theatre make their first ever visit to Liverpool next month with a stunning new production of The Changeling, Thomas Middleton and William Rowley’s classic Jacobean revenge drama. Often considered to be the greatest tragedy in English drama after Shakespeare, The Changeling arrives at the Playhouse from Tuesday 6 to Saturday 10 November.

The irrepressible Northern Broadsides return to Liverpool with Lisa’s Sex Strike, a riotous new adaptation of the classic Greek comedy Lysistrata with a cast featuring legendary Artistic Director Barrie Rutter. Last seen in Liverpool at the Playhouse with last year’s The Man With Two Gaffers, Northern Broadsides arrive at the Everyman from Tuesday 6 to Saturday 10 November.

Carol Ann Duffy's new version of the tale of the original Italian stallion recasts the Latin lothario as a woman in Told by an Idiot's scandalously passionate new play for the company's first visit to Liverpool. Casanova runs from Tuesday 30 October to Saturday 3 November at the Playhouse.

Actors Touring Company, hot on the heels of their production of Bad Jazz at Unity Theatre earlier this year, make their debut at the Everyman with the European première of The Brothers Size. This earthily poetic portrayal of brotherly love in the Deep South comes from the pen of much vaunted American playwright Tarell Alvin McCraney and is directed by Liverpool-born Bijan Sheibani.

Roger McGough and Brian Patten return to the Everyman Theatre to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the revolutionary poetry collection The Mersey Sound. These two legendary poets will be regaling the audience with their Top Twenty most requested poems as they return to their spiritual home on Hope Street.
