EMP|SFM offers free admission and live music from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the first Thursday evening of every month. August’s All Access Night at EMP|SFM will feature The Endeavors at 6 p.m. and Tea Cozies at 7 p.m. in Sky Church. All Access Nights are sponsored by The Boeing Company.

Experience Music Project|Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame (EMP|SFM) is proud to be the first venue to host American Letterpress: The Art of Hatch Show Print, a new exhibition organized by Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES) and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

Experience Music Project|Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame (EMP|SFM) is proud to announce a new exhibition, Robots: A Designer's Collection of Miniature Mechanical Marvels. The exhibition celebrates society's long fascination with humankind's technological version of itself. The exhibition is drawn from a one-of-a-kind assemblage of toy robots, which noted graphic designer Tom Geismar has been collecting for decades.

Experience Music Project and Science Fiction Museum (EMP|SFM) hosts Sound Off!, the Pacific Northwest's largest annual under-age battle of the bands competition. Twelve semi-finalist performers and bands will be narrowed down to three for a finale blow-out performance under the lights and giant-screen in EMP|SFM's Sky Church on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 8 p.m.

Experience Music Project|Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame (EMP|SFM) is proud to announce an original exhibition, revealed in two parts, featuring the legendary Jimi Hendrix. This new exhibition, organized by EMP|SFM, will center on Hendrix's guitar sound and its continued resonance with music listeners, nearly 40 years after his untimely death.

Experience Music Project|Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame (EMP|SFM) in partnership with the Seattle International Film Festival Group (SIFF) will present the third annual Science Fiction Short Film Festival (SFSFF) on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at the Seattle Cinerama Theater.

Experience Music Project|Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame (EMP|SFM), in collaboration with Earshot Jazz, proudly present Jazz in January2008, taking place Jan. 17 through Jan. 20, 2008 at EMP|SFM.

Experience Music Project|Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame opened Innersphere: Sculptural Works by Rik Allen. This exhibition of works by Washington artist Rik Allen features glass and metal sculpture inspired by his life-long fascination with technology and science fiction.

Experience Music Project|Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame (EMP|SFM) will open American Sabor: Latinos in U.S. Popular Music, the first major museum exhibition to tell the story of the profound influence and impact of Latinos in American popular music.

As a part of Experience Music Project|Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame (EMP|SFM)'s ongoing oral history project, EMP|SFM presents Oral History Live!, a series of intimate interviews recorded before a live audience. EMP|SFM has more than 500 oral histories with notable musicians, producers, filmmakers and authors in its collection. Many of which are featured in the permanent exhibition at EMP|SFM, Sound and Vision: Artists Tell Their Stories.

Effective March 31, Experience Music Project and the Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame will offer visitors a new, lower ticket price of just $15 for adult admission to both museums.
