Jump start the new year with the Exploratorium's Physics of Toys: The Classic Edition. On Saturday, January 20th, from 11am to 3pm, recreate classic toys that display classic physics principles: climbing bear, bouncing woodpecker, ball and cup, and others.

On Sunday, February 18th, at 1pm at the Exploratorium, three musicians play amplified water and a spectrum of rocks in a performance of compositions inspired by gestures and motions from the natural world.

Meets High -Tech at the Exploratorium: Seattle's Climax Golden Twins Perform on Saturday, February 17 at 1pm. The development of recording that took place at the end of the 19th century signified big changes in society.

Cutting Edge Biology Lecture Series - Stanford University's Dr. Stephen Smith, an authority on microscope imaging techniques and the biology of brain cells, will talk about the eye-brain connection in the developing embryo, in the second in the Exploratorium's Cutting Edge Biology Lecture Series.

While Hollywood readies for the Academy Awards, the Exploratorium's Physics of Toys team will zoom in on movie cameras and pictures made from light.

In celebration of the spirit of Valentine's Day, the Exploratorium presents Love of Labor, a program of short, expressive films about people who love what they do. This program takes place on Saturday, February 10th, 2007, at 2pm, and is included in the price of admission to the Exploratorium.

Making Sense of Sound, a major new exhibition at the Exploratorium, the Listen Film Series explores the sound of silence on Saturday, February 24, 2007, at 2pm in the McBean Theater. All films are included in the price of admission to the Exploratorium.

March 8 Opening Party Features Additional Performances and Site-Specific Installations for One Night Only, March 8, 7-11pm. Liminality: Art on the Threshold, a new exhibition at the Exploratorium, on view from March 8 - June 3, 2007, builds on a rich history of boundary-bending. Projects that play with the Exploratorium's home, the airplane-hangar-like Palace of Fine Arts interior.
