Opening the show for this leg of the tour is Sacred Steel disciple Robert Randolph and the Family Band, as well as retro-soul guitarist James Hunter, who makes his Hollywood Bowl debut with this performance.

In August, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra will launch one of its most ambitious projects to date: a three-year "Mahler Cycle," exploring the life and works of 20th century composer Gustav Mahler. Under the umbrella of the annual Great Performances Festival, the FWSO will be the first major orchestra in Texas to undertake such a monumental task in just three years.

Fort Worth Opera announced that it will continue the festival format for the 2008 Season in Bass Hall and that it will add a fourth production to be performed at the Scott Theatre, a small, 481-seat theatre located in the Arts District of Fort Worth. Fort Worth Opera revamped its format in 2007, from a fall/winter schedule to a four-week festival held in May-June.

The first season following the $20 million renovation of the Sarasota Opera House will open March 1, 2008 and present 32 performances of four operas in repertory through April 13, 2008.
