In 2007, Vancouver Film School ("VFS"Â) commemorates its twentieth anniversary, and to celebrate, VFS is planning a year of special events. The year-long celebration begins with VFS offering 1 million dollars in scholarships to students with a combination of ambition, talent and need. Starting today, VFS will be awarding scholarships across fourteen different programs to the best, the brightest, and the most passionate aspiring artists applying under this program for the upcoming 2006/2007 start dates.

The Sundance Institute has revealed two Victorian films - Noise and William - will be screened at the prestigious 2007 Sundance Film Festival next month in Salt Lake City, Utah. Noise was one of two Australian features selected for competition and William is the only Australian short film to screen at the Festival.

The Jewish Museum and the Film Society of Lincoln Center will present the 16th annual New York Jewish Film Festival from January 10 through 25, 2007. One of the longest running collaborations of two arts institutions in New York City, the festival will take place at The Walter Reade Theater at Lincoln Center, 165 West 65th Street, with two screenings at The Jewish Museum, Fifth Avenue at 92nd Street.
