Deutsche Börse Launches Business With Longevity Data

With Xpect Data, Deutsche Börse is expanding its Market Data & Analytics department to include data from the new insurance risks asset class. Deutsche Börse will deliver data on life expectancy and mortality risk via Xpect Data. In addition, Deutsche Börse will introduce indices, under the name Xpect-Indices, which will serve as securitization for life and pension insurance risks or as the basis for other financial products.

Clearstream’s Activity Figures For February 2008

In February the value of assets under custody on behalf of customers rose to € 10.5 trillion, a 6 percent rise from February 2007 (€ 10.0 trillion). Securities held under custody in Clearstream’s international business experienced a rise of 6 percent from € 4.6 to € 4.9 trillion and domestic German securities held under custody rose by 5 percent from € 5.4 trillion to € 5.7 trillion.

Deutsche Börse To Cooperate with Hochiminh Stock Exchange

The Hochiminh Stock Exchange has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Deutsche Börse Group on Friday in Frankfurt. The partners want to co-operate in order to facilitate the development of the securities markets in Vietnam and Germany and will explore bilateral business opportunities.

EEX, Eurex Launch Options On EUA Future

European Energy Exchange (EEX) and the international derivatives exchange Eurex are further expanding their cooperation in CO2 trading. As of 14 April 2008, options will also be available on the EEX’s EUA future. The new EUA options, in addition to the existing EUA future, expire yearly from 2008 to 2012, they will be tradable between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. CET.

Eurex To Increase Stake In European Energy Exchange

Turnover Of Half Million EUAs Done On Eurex

On Tuesday, 26 February 2008, a new daily record was achieved in trading of EUA futures on the market for emission rights operated by European Energy Exchange AG (EEX) and Eurex with 600,000 EUAs. The previous daily record was set on 21 February 2008 with 485,000 EUAs.

Deutsche Börse Launches New DAXglobal China Indices

Deutsche Börse expanded its international DAXglobal index family on Monday, by adding eleven new China indices. The DAXglobal China index tracks the 40 largest and most liquid companies in China. In addition, 10 sector indices called DAXglobal Sektor, complement the DAXglobal China index.

Deutsche Börse Sets Record For Revenue In 2007

Deutsche Börse Group concluded financial year 2007 with new records for revenues and earnings. According to the preliminary figures published by the company on Tuesday, sales revenue climbed by 18 percent to €2,185.2 million in 2007 (2006: €1,854.2 million). The company earned a further €230.8 million in net interest income from banking business (2006: €150.7 million).

Osaka Securities Exchange, International Securities Exchange Sign MoA

ISE International Securities Exchange: The Osaka Securities Exchange Co., Ltd. (OSE) and International Securities Exchange Holdings, Inc. (ISE) today announced that they have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), in which the two exchanges agreed to build a cooperative relationship as the first step towards the formation of a joint venture and the launch of a new, jointly owned trading platform that promises to revitalize the Japanese equity options market.
