EEX/Eurex Achieved New Daily Record

On Friday, 18 January 2008, a new daily record was achieved in trading of EUA futures on the market for emission allowances operated by European Energy Exchange AG (EEX) and Eurex AG: 301,000 EUAs were traded. In January, a total of 2,081,000 EUAs has already been traded.

Xetra: 22 Percent Rise In Turnover

In December €151 billion were turned over on Xetra and on the floor of Börse Frankfurt – a rise of 20 percent year-on-year (December 2006: €125,7 billion). Thereof €142.2 billion were traded on Xetra gaining 22 percent year-on-year (December 2006: €115.8 billion) and €8.7 billion on the floor (December 2006: €9.8 billion). German equities accounted for €141.6 billion, foreign equities comprising €6.7 billion.

Eurex, ISE Complete Merger

Eurex and International Securities Exchange Holdings, Inc. (ISE) today announced that Eurex has completed the acquisition of ISE, following the SEC’s approval of the merger. Effective upon the open of the U.S. markets today, ISE common stock will be suspended from trading on the NYSE and will be delisted shortly thereafter.

Activity Continued To Grow At Deutsche Börse Group

Clearstream processed 2.70 million international transactions in November 2007, a 24 percent rise over November 2006 (2.18 million). Of these transactions, 76 percent were Over the Counter (OTC) transactions and 24 percent were registered as stock exchange transactions.
