Each year, to correspond with the celebration of Women's History Month in March, Woman Made hosts a group exhibition of an open theme, juried by a noted representative from the art world. This year, the gallery is thrilled to have visual artist and author, Audrey Niffenegger, select works for the show.

Pop culture, representations of women and Utopic fantasy coalesce in the work of ATYL. Employing a color palette reminiscent of your favorite jolly rancher, ATYL creates computer generated images that reference the stylistic conventions of popular video games.

Face of Fashion is a major exhibition focusing on the portraits of five outstanding fashion photographers from Europe and America: Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, Corinne Day, Steven Klein, Paolo Roversi and Mario Sorrenti. It is the first exhibition of its kind, celebrating the innovation and diversity of current fashion portraiture.

Glenbow Museum is putting the final touches on its new $12-million permanent gallery, Mavericks: An Incorrigible History of Alberta. Media will get a preview of the gallery on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 and it will open to the public on Saturday, March 24, 2007.

The Corcoran Gallery of Art will open Masterpieces: European Art from the Collection, a salon-style installation of masterworks from the Corcoran's permanent collection of European paintings and decorative arts.

The Corcoran Gallery of Art will open Olga Hirshhorn Collects: Selections from the Permanent Collection, an exhibition of highlights from the extensive collection of Washingtonian Olga Hirshhorn, who has made many generous gifts of art to the Corcoran over the past decade.

"East of Eden: Gardens in Asian Art," on view Feb. 24 through May 13, at the Smithsonian's Arthur M. Sackler Gallery, highlights the rich visual culture of garden imagery in Asia. Drawn primarily from the permanent collections of the Freer and Sackler galleries, some 65 works are incorporated in this exhibition, including hand scrolls, hanging scrolls, folding screens, manuscript paintings, lacquer objects, ceramics and textiles created in South, West and East Asia from the 12th century through the present.

The State Government has committed $1.9 million to a new gallery at the SA Museum that will highlight South Australia's unique biodiversity - and track our nation-leading initiatives to manage climate change. A further contribution of $800,000 will also be confirmed from BHP Billiton.

'Manet to Picasso: A Redisplay of Modern Masters from the National Gallery Collection' has become the most popular free display in National Gallery history. 590,433 visitors have enjoyed the Sainsbury Wing installation since it opened on 22 September 2006, beating the previous record of 572,244 visitors to 'London's Monets', back in 1996.
