Citizens' Theatre Announces Spring Season

The Citizens' Theatre announces its latest programme. Classics by Beckett and Pirandello hit the main stage in the new year and a more contemporary focus emerges as summer approaches with two 'firsts' for the stage in Vanishing Point's version of the cult Czech film LITTLE OTIK and an adaptation of Ron Butlin's 1980s novel, THE SOUND OF MY VOICE.

Citizens' Theatre Presents Peter Pan

This years' Christmas spectacular, sponsored by ScottishPower, will be PETER PAN. A magical retelling of the classic tale, Jeremy Raison's interpretation will be true to the original play by Scottish writer J M Barrie. Peter Pan takes the Darling children on the most breath-taking adventure of their lives, to a place called Neverland, a strange country where the lost boys live and never grow up, a land with mermaids, fairies and pirates - and of course the terrible Captain Hook.

Royal Scottish Orchestra Get Out And About In Angus

From Monday 14 January 2008 the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO) will be resident in Angus for a week of music making. The Orchestra will leave its Glasgow home to perform a variety of concerts, workshops and community projects culminating in the public re-opening of the newly refurbished Webster Theatre in Arbroath.

Quentin Blake To Be Big Draw At Kelvingrove

One of the UK's best-loved illustrators is exhibiting a collection from his personal archive at Kelvingrove, thanks to support from KPMG Scotland. This is the first time that Quentin Blake's works have been shown in Glasgow. On display will be some of his favourite illustrations as well as several new works especially created for this exhibition.

Motherwell Foundry Opens

Foundry Music Labs has opened its doors in Motherwell, Glasgow as a project devised by Wet Wet Wet guitarist Grame Duffin and sound engineers Sandy Jones and Ted Blakeway. The 'Lab' is a converted 5000 square-foot warehouse containing two rehearsal rooms, a recording studio and a training facility.
