For the past week, Google has featured a different Sesame Street character on their doodle each day. All six of the featured characters and a few of their friends are hanging around the final Sesame Street Google doodle to complete the celebration.

AdMob Acquired by Google

On Monday, Google mobile ad company AdMob. AdMob, besides providing mobile display ads, uses its platform to perform market research, as well. For example, in Septemeber, AdMob received 10.2 billion ad requests, with 2.6 billion of those from iPhone and iPod touch devices. That is up from 130 million in September '08.

Google UK Celebrates Wallace and Gromit's 20th Anniversary

The U.K. Google site today is celebrating the 20th anniversary of Wallace & Gromit. Meanwhile, closer to home (virtually), the U.S. Google site's Doodle celebrates both the Sesame Street Anniversary which will occur on Nov. 10th, when its 40th season begins, and Big Bird's birthday, although in terms of his Sesame Street age, he's effectively frozen at six years old.
