It is always interesting to see what the next special Google doodle is. Today, Google unveiled their latest one and it is a special one for kids of all ages. Today's Google doodle features the legs and feet of the lovable Big Bird from Sesame Street.

Vevo was founded by Universal Music Group, and will run on technology from YouTube.

Reports are that the company that wants to be all things Internet to all people, Google, is nearing launch of a music service. The service, called Google Music (or some have theorized, Google Audio), would undoubtedly be a major threat even to the 800-pound gorilla in the corner of the room: iTunes.

Those of you who visit Google's website daily just to be sure they don't change their doodle for some sort of special event without your knowledge would have been pleasantly surprised Wednesday. It was indeed different. On Wednesday, Google's latest doodle was a bar code.

Google celebrates the invention of the barcode with a Google bar code of their own. Google logos Gandhi, Google's 11th birthday, H.G. Wells and Confucius, have been the most recent. If Google's trend continues, we can expect them to surprise us with a new "Google Doodle" logo for every holiday or major event.

The much hyped Google Wave is rolling out today, but it's just a test drive. Over 100,000 people will get to try Google Wave today but it's still not ready for prime time, according the official Google blog. Google is hoping that all will go well and they will be able to invite more users to try Google Wave in the near future.
