The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) is critical over the Economic Stimulus Bill inclusion of Sander H-1B Amendment making almost impossible to hire foreign workers.

On Thursday, the U.S. Attorney's office in Iowa announced a multi-state operation that resulted in the arrest of eleven in a case of suspected H1B visa and mail fraud including Vision Systems Group. The operation was carried out by federal, state and local law enforcement agencies in Iowa, California, Massachusetts, Texas, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and New Jersey.

Immigration activists are closely following the fate of a proposed hefty increase in H1B visa fees as US lawmakers are trying to sort out appropriations bills in particular the Labour, Health and Human Services that the measure has been tagged.
