The Great Wall of China: Photographs by Chen Changfen opens at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston on April 1, 2007, showing unique views of the ancient structure in the first U.S. exhibition of work by this important Chinese photographer. Chen devoted 30 years of his life to exploring and photographing the Great Wall, seeking to animate it through his particular vision.

The Alley Theatre will add To Kill a Mockingbird, based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Harper Lee, to the 2006-2007 Season. Set in a small Alabama town in the 1930's, the story is narrated by Jean Louise "Scout" Finch, the daughter of Atticus Finch, a lawyer who, despite threats to himself and his family, defends a black man accused of assaulting a white woman.
