Where Clouds Disperse is the first major museum exhibition in the United States showcasing Suh Se-ok (born 1929), a pivotal figure in Korean Modern art. Key works from Suh Se-ok´s oeuvre reveal his exceptional conceptual and technical artistry as well as his renewal of traditional ink into a modern material.

Extraordinary women from three centuries are celebrated during the 2007 Yuletide event at Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens. The central figure in Yuletide´s Holiday Heroines is Houston philanthropist Miss Ima Hogg, who lived at Bayou Bend from 1928 to 1957, when she gave the estate to the museum. The exhibition will be on view from November 17 to December 30, 2007.

Santa and his elves will ride into town when TUTS' Humphreys School of Musical Theatre (HSMT) presents the new musical, The Shoemaker and the Christmas Elves from December 4-7 at 9:30 a.m. and/or 11 a.m. at the Hobby Center's Zilkha Hall (800 Bagby at Walker).

A Christmas Carol – a ghost story of Christmas by Charles Dickens runs November 20 through December 29 comes to Alley Theatre.

Houston Grand Opera will perform at the Pakistani American Community Center on Sunday, October 21, 2007, at 8:00 p.m. Admission is free., as part of a series of community events leading up to the world premiere of The Refuge.

Alley Theatre and the Angelika Film Center will present a screening of Stanley Kubrick’s science fiction masterpiece, 2001: A Space Odyssey on Thursday. October 18.
