For those who love tech there's nothing like a launch day. For those who adore tech, there's nothing like a launch Midnight. Thus, the scene at Verizon wireless stores in East Coast centers. Reportedly, more than a hundred people were lined up at midnight Thursday night outside a Verizon Wireless store in midtown Manhattan to be among the first to buy the new Motorola Droid.

Nokia sues Apple for iPhone patent infringements

Nokia is suing its U.S. rival, Apple for patent infringements on mobile phone technology for the iPhone. The 10 alleged patent infringements involve wireless data, speech coding, security and encryption. Nokia claims that it has not been compensated for its technology and feels that Apple has received a free ride using Nokia's innovation.

Verizon's Droid Commercial Slams iPhone

Apple Resigns from U.S. Chamber of Commerce Over Climate Change Policy

Apple has become the latest company, and probably the highest profile, to leave the U.S. Chamber of Commerce over that organization's stance against limiting greenhouse gases to slow the effects of global climate change. Three other companies, Pacific Gas and Electric, PNM Resources and Exelon, also recently pulled out of the Chamber over its climate policy. Additionally, Nike resigned its position on the Chamber’s board, though it has maintained its membership.
