IBM (NYSE:IBM) announced that Bank of Chengdu has chosen the IBM POWER 595 platform to upgrade its core banking system. The bank seeks to build a high performing, reliable and scalable IT infrastructure, which will be used as a foundation for exploration of cross-region markets. The agreement was signed in September 2008.
